Anti-Fake Recolor Stamp by Sycotei-B Anti-Fake Recolor Stamp by Sycotei-B
First off, I apologize for the atrocity in this stamp, but it's part of my point. What do I mean by "Fake Recolor"? Well, I've noticed that there are more Sonic recolors that weren't made to be passed off as actual OCs, they were made to spite actual recolors, all OCs in general or just to get attention. These recolors edited official Sonic art and are given with cliche', exaggerated, Mary-Sue names and bios in the description and repeating how original they are (it's so obvious, you can read the sarcasm in it). I call these "OCs" Fake Recolors. I've found that there are actually more of these fake recolors than actual recolors, which is sad. The people who make them think it's funny, but i think it's just pathetic and immature. It's just reinforcing a negative stereotype that all FCs are recolors (there are people who actually think that), like saying that all blonde people are dumb or all Muslims are terrorists (niether are true of course). So if you think it's funny to make fake recolor, you should consider how it makes you look.

I do not claim ownership of the image used in this stamp

...There's a reason why this site is called DeviantART.  People recolor for fun, not for attention.

Keep in mind that recolouring is against DeviantART's rules. Whether they do it for fun or not, they will get into trouble one way or another.

It's in DeviantART's Terms and Conditions, as far as I know.

I enjoy making fake recolorings. Just look at Bluey Baklava.

I don't think I'm superior for doing it, though. I'm just trying to be funny.

THANK YOU FOR THIS STAMP! Gosh. I just think it's sad that, when someone posts a serious recolor, everyone goes like "this looks horrible, I will report you, stop stealing you stupid biach that's against the rules you should die why dont you learn how to draw". Hating everywhere. And when someone posts a parody, everyone goes like "zumg this is so kawaii best thing i have ever seen", support everywhere.
FAKE recolors are just AS MUCH against the rules. This bugs me so, sooooo much. But of course, everyone praises them and they never got reported or deleted by the staff. Ever.

I had an argument with another deviant about that, one or two weeks ago. Telling me how stupid I am and that I should shut up because the law allowes parodies.
Wut. It's still stolen, and STILL not allowed on dA. The law allowes porn too.
Some people....

Yeah, it's really messed up, i think they know that the "artist" didn't intend to actually steal the character.

Well, they should know that there's a difference between making a parody and just bashing something.

Thanks for favin'
